As the name suggests, this system produces a source of heat directly from the floor.
Once the floor temperature exceeds the air temperature, heat spreads evenly around where the heating system is laid. This helps to create a warm and comfortable environment without cold spots.
During the winter months it can be beneficial for you to leave your heating on all day. This will help your it to warm up quicker when you require it.
By using your thermostat effectively, you can reduce the temperature when it isn’t required (such as when you go to bed).
Because of the way in which heat rises, this form of heating is more effective at keeping your entire body warm when compared to traditional radiators.
This heating also operates more efficiently than radiator systems. It will operate effectively at around 40°C while radiator systems operate effectively at around 65°C.
The time it takes to install this heating depends on a number of factors such as the scale of the job. We can give you an estimated time frame before any work is carried out.
Many people opt to install this heating as part of a new heating system. With that said, these heating systems can work perfectly fine with older boilers. If you would like to confirm any specific details, simply contact us directly.
Although carpet isn’t necessary with this type of heating system, you can have this system installed with some carpeted floors.
You will need to consider how thick and insulating your carpet is. If it is too thick and insulating, you may not properly feel the benefits of your new heating system.
Your heating could take between 2 – 8 hours to reach a desired temperature.
If you leave your heating on at a lower temperature when not in use, it will warm up considerably faster when you do need it.
Our hourly rate is £75 plus VAT, per workers and our daily rate is £300 plus VAT, per worker. If your hourly rate exceeds the daily rate, we will only charge you the daily rate to help keep work costs lower for you.
